There may be an explanation why some MS drugs stop working


There are a variety of effective drugs used to treat the symptoms and slow the progression of multiple sclerosis. However, the effectiveness of some of these medications may change over time. Doctors have found that some people with MS develop neutralizing antibodies against certain medications. Although their meaning is not yet clear, they may sabotage the effectiveness of their treatment. These antibodies can develop soon after a medication is started or many years down the road. A change in treatment strategy can often help.
